Bryan Herta on the Delphi Indy 300:

"This is an important race for our team. So many of our sponsors like XM Satellite Radio, Klein Tools and Forsythe have a large presence in Chicago, and we'd really like to go out there and compete for a victory. Last year we finished third by a few feet and we feel like it's our turn to get into victory lane."

Bryan Herta Facts

Herta travels to Chicagoland ranked tenth in the IndyCar Series point standings. He is only one point behind ninth-place driver, Darren Manning, and only 19 points from the sixth-place occupant, Sam Hornish Jr.

Herta finished third in Chicagoland in 2003 in the closest 1-2-3 finish in IndyCar Series history. The margin between race winner Sam Hornish Jr. and Herta was .0100 of a second

The driver of the XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone is coming off an eighth-place result in the Firestone Indy 225 - his seventh top-10 result in the past eight races.

The XM Satellite Radio crew has placed the race car in the top 10 on nine occasions in 2004. That total ties Herta for the fifth-most top-10 results in the IndyCar Series.

Herta has scored three top-five finishes this season, including a pair of fourth-place finishes at Indianapolis (May 30) and at Richmond (June 26).

Herta's best start in the IndyCar Series came at Nashville Superspeedway (July 17) when he wheeled the #7 XM Satellite Radio entry from the inside of the second row.

Herta has one IndyCar Series victory, which came at Kansas Speedway in 2003.

Herta has three career major open-wheel racing wins and seven poles.

George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Delphi Indy 300:

"Last year we had a really good race in Chicago. We're going into Chicago with basically the same set up that we left with last year and we're looking for a good result. We'd like to get back up in the winner's circle where we belong."
