FORT WORTH-DALLAS (May 3, 2000) - No one is more ready to race than Team Tyce. Carlson, that is. The #20 Hubbard-Immke Indy Racing team tested yesterday at Texas Motor Speedway to prepare for the May 28 Indy 500 and the upcoming Casino Magic 500 here on June 10. "Everyone else is testing at Indy," said Carlson. "Our team is always very competitive and consistent on this track. We really want to win the race here." Team Tyce, as the crew members have dubbed themselves, is back in full force this year after four members of the crew were injured in a pit-road accident during a practice at the October 1999 Mall.com 500 at Texas. "All of our guys are back on their feet and doing great," said team co-owner Richard Hubbard. "As a team owner that is probably your worst nightmare. We feel very fortunate to all be healthy and racing again." The team had beautiful weather on Tuesday and was on the track most of the day. Carlson consistently ran in the 210 mph range. "Our qualifying setup is perfect, it always is here," said Carlson. "Now we are working on our race day setup - the car is running great." The Hubbard-Immke team was scheduled to practice again today but rainy weather prevented them from getting back on the track. Tickets for the June 10 Casino Magic 500 are available by calling the Texas Motor Speedway ticket office at (817) 215-8500, online at www.texasmotorspeedway.com, or through participating Ticketmaster locations.
