Raul Boesel has signed with McCormack Motorsports to run all 11 of the 1998 IRL events. He replaces Robbie Groff, who has driven for McCormack since the 1997 Indianapolis 500.

McCormack will field a G-Force/Aurora/Goodyear combination for the likeable 3 time pole winner (Milwaukee, '93, '94; Gateway '97) and long time CART veteran.

Boesel's history of running well on ovals and especially at Indianapolis should serve him well in his quest for his elusive first Indy car win as well as the IRL championship.
