INDIANAPOLIS, IN, MAY 20, 2000 - Blueprint Racing Enterprises, LLC announced the signing of longtime Indy Racing Northern Light Series’ supporter, Big Daddy’s BBQ Racing of Oklahoma, as its primary sponsor beginning today with Pole Day Time Trials at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The #27 Big Daddy’s BBQ/ Blueprint Racing Special will have Stockbridge, Georgia’s Jimmy Kite behind the wheel.

The alliance with Big Daddy’s BBQ Racing, a publicly held company trading under the “BIGD” symbol, is for the remainder of 2000 and the next four years of the Northern Light Series. The agreement involves a trading of Big Daddy’s BBQ Racing stock in exchange for the primary sponsorship of the #27 G Force/ Oldsmobile.

“We are very happy to have such a strong supporter of auto racing and the Indy Racing Northern Light Series as our partner in Blueprint Racing,” commented Blueprint Racing co-owner Keith Sanders. “The Blueprint Racing team has proven itself as a strong performer and we have been looking for a partner to join in our effort to win the Indianapolis 500 and the Northern Light Series championship. We feel, with the addition of Big Daddy’s BBQ we will be able to take that next step up. With Jimmy Kite as our driver, Brad McCanless as team manger, Sonny Meyer building our engines in house and Randy Ruyle leading the Big Daddy’s/ Blueprint crew we are now on level with any team out there.”

Big Daddy’s BBQ Racing CEO, Dan Lloyd Sr., enthusiastically commented on his new allegiance with Blueprint Racing. “Everyone here at Big Daddy’s is tickled to death to be a part of Blueprint Racing. This is a great opportunity for our company to put all of our stockholders in victory lane. We are looking forward to the next four and a half years working with Keith [Sanders], Ed [Rachanski] and Jimmy Kite. We are excited because we know that with this team Big Daddy’s has a great chance to win races and have fun with this group!”

Big Daddy’s BBQ is a longtime participant in auto racing and currently sponsors race teams in several different series including quarter midgets, stock cars, race trucks and an extremely successful IHRA Funny Car.

Co-owner Ed Rachanski welcomed the addition of Big Daddy’s BBQ to the team he started in 1996. “Having Big Daddy’s come on board with us just prior to qualifications here at Indianapolis means a lot to Blueprint Racing. This whole team has worked so hard to get to where we are that this just validates the whole effort. Everyone here at Blueprint knew that we had the people, the talent, in place to run at the front. Jimmy, as our driver, got us to where we can attract this kind of support from Big Daddy’s. This will allow us to pull in to the garage area every time with the other competitors knowing we can beat them.”

“I’ve known the guys at Big Daddy’s BBQ for a long time. Dan, his wife and the whole family are real racers,” offered driver Jimmy Kite. “Having them on-board just ties all the ends together. I have said for a long time that I feel Blueprint Racing is giving me the best chance of my career to win Indy. After this week’s performance, and now the announcement that Big Daddy’s BBQ Racing will be a part of our team for the next four and a half years, really makes me think I might win this thing a few more times before I turn thirty!”
