Seven members of Target Team Ganassi once again rode their motorcycles from Indy to Kentucky Speedway for Sunday's Belterra Casino Indy 300. We counted five Hondas and two Ducatis in the garage area. Regular visitors to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Gasoline Alley are familiar with the line of high performance bikes along the south fence of the garage area during the month of May.

Dario Franchitti landed his helicopter in the infield of Kentucky Speedway Friday afternoon. As soon as the door opened, blades still turning, his two well-mannered, little cockapoo dogs jumped out to scamper about around the chopper's landing gear.

Townsend Bell of Panther Racing and Andretti Green Racing's Bryan Herta did not make qualifying attempts after they changed engines today. Both drivers will start of the back of the grid for Sunday's Belterra Casino Indy 300.

With the recent reduction in engine displacement Sarah Fisher still holds the Kentucky Speedway track record. Fisher qualified on the pole last year after recording a speed of 221.390 mph. Tony Kanaan turned the fastest lap today, averaging 216.303 mph in practice. Buddy Rice's pole speed was 216.016 mph.
