Ft. Worth, Texas -- Oct. 6 -- Airton Dare' piloted the 1-800 BAR NONE car to a seventh place finish in the Indy Racing League's season finale at the Texas Motor Speedway. Perseverance helped the 2000 Rookie of the Year achieve yet another top 10 finish in the IRL.

"I have always loved racing here at TMS," says Dare'. "The banking and the opportunity to compete at such high speeds really gets the adrenaline pumping."

The Texas Motor Speedway is the home of Rockwall, Texas-based TeamXtreme Racing.

"Consistency helped us today on the track," says team manager Ray Sorenson. "In typical fashion, Airton cut his way through the field of racers. As the race progressed, he battled aggressively with some of the most talented racers in the league. The crew's quick pit stops gave Airton the ability to continue as a competitive force in the front of the field."

Dare' credits his top-10 finish to the crew and management of TeamXtreme Racing. Their hard work, determination and camaraderie have carried the team throughout the 2001 season.

"Our solid finish was achieved for a number of reasons," says Dare. "We have a consistent, reliable motor program and the crew gave me a well-balanced car to work with. Another big part of our success in this race and all season long has been our quick pit stops. Every stop today was right on target."

TeamXtreme Racing finishes the season in the tenth position with 239 driver points.
