9 A.M. THURSDAY MEETING SCHEDULED AT USAC TO REVIEW TEXAS RESULTS, ADDRESS TEAM INQUIRIES

The United States Auto Club (USAC) has scheduled a meeting for 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12 at the USAC headquarters in Speedway, Ind. to address inquiries from Indy Racing League car entrants involved in the revised posted finish of the True Value 500 June 7 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Entrants involved have been notified of the meeting at which they will be allowed to present pertinent data for comparison with the data utilized to produce the official race results posting.

As a result of this scheduled meeting, the official protest filing period has been revised to a two-hour time frame immediately following the conclusion of the meeting. No protest activity will be released to the media until the conclusion of the two-hour filing period.

Entrants involved in position changes in the revised finishing order of the True Value 500 include Treadway Racing (drivers Arie Luyendyk and Scott Goodyear), A.J. Foyt Enterprises (Billy Boat and Davey Hamilton), Team Menard (Tony Stewart), FirstPlus Team Cheever (Eddie Cheever, Jr.), Team Scandia (Eliseo Salazar and Vincenzo Sospiri), Thomas Knapp Motorsports (Greg Ray), and Jonathan Byrd/Cunningham Racing (Johnny Unser).
