Wheldon Spends Another Full Day of Running With One More Day of Indianapolis Practice

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 16, 2009) -- During the third day of qualifications for the 93rd Running of the Indianapolis 500 the field of 33 was filled with just one final day of qualifications to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway tomorrow. Panther Racing and driver Dan Wheldon took advantage of open practice throughout the day and turned a total of 35 laps on the historic 2.5-mile oval.

Dan Wheldon: "It was another difficult day today for the National Guard Panther Racing team. We seem to be having trouble getting a balanced racecar right now. It's tough, we're going to continue to work hard but time is running out. We're struggling a bit right now I would say, but we're going to go out tomorrow and try to make it better."
