The Montreal native's 2002 independent EP, 'The Inhuman Condition' became one of the bestselling independent releases in Canadian music history, and spawned a number of radio friendly hits, such as 'Brother Down', 'Don't Walk Away Eileen' and 'Where Have All The Good People Gone?'. Since then, the Sam Roberts Band has released two additional albums, 2006's 'Chemical City' and 2008's 'Love At The End Of The World', and has built a well-earned reputation as one of Canada's most dynamic live acts. Their most recent album, 'Love At The End Of The World', debuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Charts.

Since making their debut on the Canadian music scene seven years ago, the Sam Roberts Band has won 6 Juno Awards, including Artist of the Year (2004 & 2009), Album of the Year (2004), Rock Album of the Year (2004 & 2009), and Video of the Year (2007).

"As one of Canada's premier acts, the Sam Roberts Band will be the perfect way to cap off an exciting opening day at the Rexall Edmonton Indy."
