Sarah Fisher, SFR Return at ChicagoLand Speedway; Dollar General driver, Fisher, returns this weekend for PEAK Indy 300
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (Sep 03, 2008)-- Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) returns to the racetrack this weekend at ChicagoLand Speedway after a right- rear suspension failure disrupted an 11th place finish at Kentucky Speedway sending Fisher's Dollar General Stores No. 67 Honda Dallara coasting to the finish line with a 15th place finish. Fisher is no stranger to ChicagoLand Speedway, having made five previous starts there. SFR makes their third and final appearances during the 2008 IndyCar Series season this weekend after the team launched in February 2008.
SARAH FISHER: "I'm excited to get back on track in Chicago in the Dollar General machine. It's the last race of the season and with our great effort coming from Kentucky, we are pleased to get back at it. We have a really good chance at an exceptional finish at Chicago with the extra time we've had to work on the car to make it even better in the areas that we found we could improve on from Kentucky."
TOM BROWN, CHIEF ENGINEER: "I like Chicago, it has a similar layout and feel as Kentucky and we will be building on what we learned there. Its smoother, which will allow a little different approach to controlling the aero platform we all know, is needed to go quick. Our plan is to build on our momentum from Kentucky. We know the areas we have to work on and have spent the time between the races sorting those areas out. The team has confidence and belief in itself and proved once again it can race with anybody. Now we have to go out again and keep our focus and have fun doing it. Then the results will come."
