Rodolfo Lavin (R), #5 Corona Competition Team Ford-Cosworth XFE-Reynard-Bridgestone
"We made some good gains on the set-up of the Corona car during this morning's practice session. I tried really hard during the qualifying session to put together a good lap that would reflect the speed that we have in the car, but unfortunately that didn't work out. The Corona car is quick; we just need to look through the data and see what could have been done differently to get that quick time posted on timing sheets."

Darren Manning, (R), #15 RAC Walker Racing Ford-Cosworth XFE-Reynard-Bridgestone
"It was a bit of a scrappy session with the red flag. We gambled and waited until the very last minute to go out which is sometimes good to get rid of all the traffic and the conditions are generally better by the end. It hurt us a little bit this time though with Pat (Carpentier) causing the red flag in the last ten minutes of qualifying. We were just about ready to go for our last run. I didn't get a clean run when I actually set my fastest time. We thought we did have a few tenths left in the RAC Walker Racing car. We could have had a top-six start, but we got eighth which is a bit of a disappointment but it's still within striking distant for the race. We normally make positions up in the race, so it's good to be as far up as the fourth row."
