* The new RuSPORT team heads to the second Canadian stop on the Champ Car calendar hoping to continue the momentum of progress and consistency. Already, RuSPORT has captured its first podium (Milwaukee) and led its first laps (Cleveland) with driver Michel Jourdain Jr. RuSPORT has also racked up seven top-ten qualifying efforts in just six events.

* American AJ Allmendinger may be heading to the streets of Vancouver for the first time in a Champ Car, but he's a quick study on the street-courses. In his first two Champ Car street-course starts, the 22 year-old has delivered top-ten finishes both times. He also returns to Vancouver with winning experience. AJ won here in 2002 on the way to capturing the Barber Dodge Pro Series title his rookie year.

* AJ also has the Rookie of the Year title in his sights heading into the weekend. After bringing the #10 car home in 8th place in Toronto, AJ is tied with Brit Justin Wilson in the rookie standings (83 points).

* After being taken out by contact in Toronto, Michel Jourdain Jr. is looking for better Canadian luck this weekend in the #9 Gigante machine and Vancouver could be the place to find it. The popular Mexican has had the podium within reach each of his last two visits to the downtown streets here, finishing 4th in 2002 and 2003.
