Tagliani Fourth in first qualifying session for the Molson Indy Vancouver.

Rocketsports' driver Alex Tagliani finish fourth today during the first qualifying session for the Molson Indy Vancouver and was happy with the efforts of his team and performance of the # 33 Johnson Controls Lola. "We have a good car and it's turning out to be a great weekend for the Rocketsports team. I'm pleased with the fantastic job from the guys," said Tagliani about the service of the Rocketsports team. "We switched the tires and actually ran faster on an older used set."

Tagliani posted a fast lap of 1:02.032 (103.360 mph, 166.341 km/h) and was not too impressed with the lack of sportsmanship shown on the track during the afternoon session. "I know we have a podium car and we can be faster. I am just disappointed we didn't get the opportunity to get a fast lap with Tracy blocking me, and there's data and witnesses to prove this," claimed Tagliani. "He wouldn't let me get by. If he thinks he's got the pole, he'll do whatever it takes to preserve it. It's the hardest thing for a driver who knows they've got the fastest time so far, to move over and let someone else challenge him and possibly take that away. That's no way to compete," explained Tagliani.

When asked if he would move over for someone on a flyer, Tagliani said, "Absolutely, I do it all the time and understand the competition. I wouldn't back down from or mess up the challenge of qualifying."
