Paul Tracy retained 1st place pole position for the Vancouver Molson Indy with his lap time of 60.870 seconds / 105.333mph from Friday's first qualifying.
"My first run was traffic filled and my second set of Bridgestones never got the chance to help me improve my time because of traffic ... I slid out on my flying lap and touched the wall, but the red flag at the end helped save my time for the start of the race tomorrow".
"You can't be complacent in qualifying even if you have provisional pole -- and I was pushing and hoping to improve on yesterday's time. It was pretty frustrating as I felt I could improve today."
Paul was delighted for Rodolfo and quickly congratulated his team mate, "Rodolfo has been working hard in many series over years and today he put a great session together. With so many of our sponsor Corona's Canadian people here this weekend, congratulations go to him [Rodolfo]."
3 Corona Forsythe Racing
Rodolfo Lavin posted the fastest time of the day in Saturday's second qualifying session with a lap time of 60.980 / 105.143 mph, earning him his first ever Champ Car front row race start position and 2nd place alongside his team mate Paul Tracy.
A jubilant Rodolfo said, "It feels really great -- Great for my Sponsor Corona, for my Team and especially after a difficult start to the weekend with no time in first practice! Yesterday's qualifying was for me a practice session and we learnt the track and set up and this morning were P8 in practice ... and the car got better and better. The team is working so well and has been waiting for this result -- this is the start of many good results for me and the team and Corona."
This is my first time on the [Champ Car] podium, and its great to be sitting next to two great drivers in Paul [Tracy] and Sebastien [Bourdais] -- Corona and Jerry Forsythe will be very pleased!"

After Saturday's second qualifying position Patrick Carpentier was in 6th place with Friday time of 61.398 seconds / 104.427 mph.
"It was a bit slippery today, but mainly the two red flags and traffic made it tough to get a clear lap ... I only got three laps on each of my two sets of Bridgestones and at the end of the day, I just didn’t get it done. But my race car is very, very good and I’m confident of a strong race tomorrow.”
