Player's/Forsythe Racing tandem Moonlight in Montreal
INDIANAPOLIS (February 18, 2003) - Veteran Champ Car drivers Paul Tracy (#3 Player's/Indeck Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) and Patrick Carpentier (#32 Player's/Indeck Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) of Player's/Forsythe Racing headlined an informal media gathering in Montreal this afternoon where the two Canadians shared their thoughts on the team's winter testing and outlined their goals for the upcoming Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season.
Tracy, a native of Scarborough, Ontario Canada and Carpentier of Ville LaSalle, Quebec, met with members of the media at L'Impromptu Sports Bar before the 2003 Champ Car World Series debut in the inaugural Grand Prix of St. Petersburg this weekend on the 1.806-mile downtown street course in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Carpentier is coming off the most successful season of his career after finishing third in the championship including wins at Mid-Ohio and Cleveland, while Tracy enters his 13th Champ Car season ranked 17th on the all-time Champ Car list with 19 career victories.
After the gathering, motorsports journalists will join the two drivers later this evening in a luxury suite at the Bell Centre where the Montreal Canadiens host the Florida Panthers on the ice.
