Bjorn on Qualifying:
"I am struggling to find the pace on new tires. I am having to learn the track on Friday and there is not enough time or enough sets of tires for me to get the optimum lap time out of the car. The car is good, the set-up feels good, Will (Phillips, Engineer) has given me a fast car and I am looking forward to that for the race tomorrow. I am sure we will have a quick race pace. Every lap was getting better and better in qualifying but I was just not quick enough fast enough, so I have some more work to do there, I will work on getting the most out of fresh tires faster."
ALEX SPERAFICO, #55 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone
Alex on Qualifying:
"The session was going well. I had a good run in the first stint. We came in and looked for a few places to improve. I went out for the second stint and the car was great, I was getting better and better every lap and I matched my best time from the previous stint. I was on my final lap and my time was up three-tenths. I knew that turn six is where I had been losing time so I was preparing for that turn when I lost the back on entry, unfortunately there is no room for mistakes and I hit the wall. I am sorry for my crew, I knew I had a great chance today to qualify well and this is a disappointment. On the other hand, I am really looking forward to the race tomorrow because I am happy with my car."
