Bjorn Top Rookie, Strong Start for Sperafico

BJORN WIRDHEIM, #4 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

Bjorn on Qualifying:

"I am pleased with our result today because this is another new circuit for me and it is only our second race event on a street circuit, so I think 10th is a reasonable result for us. Today is the learning day for me, I would say it takes most of the Friday practice session to really get a hang of it, so I look forward to tomorrow and I think we should continue to improve. I am pleased with the balance of the car. The circuit, which I like very much, is a bit tricky because of the changes in surface. Areas of the circuit are major streets here in Toronto, they get a lot of use, and so the concrete is quite different from section to section. The layout reminds me of Long Beach, I really like it."

ALEX SPERAFICO, #55 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

Alex on Qualifying:

"The car feels really good. I think we had a reasonable start to the weekend considering I have never been in an HVM car before and I just met the crew. I am really impressed with the team and their professionalism; everyone is really talented. I am really looking forward to tomorrow, because I think each time I get in the car, we will get better, nothing substitutes for time in the car and I am very comfortable. Also, I look forward to working with my engineer (Michael Cannon) this evening, the car is already good but it will be great to go through the data and work together as we establish our relationship."
