Mario Dominguez - Driver, Car 55
"We just haven't been able to get a good set up for this track. We've tried lots of different things and it has cost us a lot of time searching for the solution. But we just haven't had the car to go any faster. Qualifying position is very important at this track so we'll just have to work hard tomorrow to make the most of it."
Roberto Moreno - Driver, Car 4
"We now understand the car much better in dry conditions and because of that, were able to get more speed out of it. The development of the team is going great and each time we learn something we take another step forward. We are now working at a level where we are fighting every day with very experienced engineers and teams and that presents a new challenge to us. The wind tunnel and rig testing is definitely paying off and the team is able to utilize what we learn there for better performance on track. I think we know how to make the car fast in the rain and now the dry too so I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
Weather continued to be a factor in the practice and qualifying sessions for tomorrow's Molson Indy Toronto. Unseasonably cool temperatures have been the order of the day, punctuated by periods of light rain.
Moreno's seventh place qualifying position sets a new season-best mark for 2003. His previous best was ninth which he achieved three times (Long Beach, Laguna Seca, and Cleveland).
The Molson Indy Toronto will be Dominguez's 29th Champ Car start. He currently sits 8th in the championship with 61 points.
Moreno will make his 111th Champ Car start in Toronto. He is 13th in the standings with 31 points.
