Mario Domínguez - Driver
"Toronto is a city that I really enjoy and this is a track that I really like to race on. Even though this will be my first time here in a Champ Car, I have raced here twice before - and I finished on the podium in second place last year! The Canadians really love their racing so the atmosphere is fantastic for the whole event. I'm really hoping that we can catch a break in Toronto and get some results to match how hard we are working. It's been a little frustrating because we haven't really been able to show how well the team is doing and how fast we've been. Toronto is a tough track to pass on - but not impossible - so we'll just keep working hard and hope for the best!"

New This Weekend
Herdez Competition rolls out the red carpet this weekend on the team's new custom-built hospitality trailer. Built by UltraComp Trailers of Highland, Illinois, the 18-wheel rig features two completely separate office environments and a self-contained, restaurant-quality, air-conditioned kitchen. The offices are finished with mahogany cabinetry, Corian tabletops, leather seating, 42" ViewSonic plasma televisions, a complete entertainment system including DVD and VHS players, and a slide-out. The outdoor seating area was designed to accommodate the needs of the team's sponsors and guests with two additional 42" ViewSonic plasma televisions and a surround sound entertainment system. Following the delivery in February, 2001 of the team's race car transporter from UltraComp, discussions began in January of 2002 regarding the new hospitality unit which took approximately two and a half months to complete.
