Mario Dominguez - Driver, Car 55
"I'm really frustrated about losing my best lap because of the red flag in that session. We were convinced at the time that we had finished the lap prior to the red being thrown. The car wasn't perfect - it was jumping too much in a couple of spots on the track. We made some changes and it got a bit worse but I still thought we had a shot at a better time until Servia blocked me when he was on cold tires... he just wouldn't let me by. It was a frustrating session all around."
Roberto Moreno - Driver, Car 4
"We have a very good car in the wet and in damp conditions. But as the track dried out we weren't able to bring up the speed. In fact, I did the same lap time in the damp conditions at the beginning of the session as at the end when it was dry. We're still not there on the set up for the dry conditions - but we have a strong starting point and that's quite encouraging for all of us."
Today's sessions in Toronto were run in a variety of weather conditions including raining, damp, drying, sunny, cloudy and windy - hence the wide variations in times.
Moreno's ninth place provisional qualifying position ties his best of the season which he has achieved three previous times (Long Beach, Laguna Seca, and Cleveland).
Moreno has five previous starts at Toronto including with a best start of 4th (1996) and a best finish of 4th (1999).
Dominguez has one Champ Car start at Toronto (2002; start 17th, finish 18th), and two additional starts while in the now-defunct Dayton Indy Lights series (1999; start 6th, finish 20th and 2001; start 2nd, finish 2nd).
At least one Herdez Competition driver has placed in the top ten in each of the first nine events (including five top-fives), setting a new team mark.
