Drive-Thru Crew News Medic Drug Grand Prix of Cleveland Presented by Firstar Burke Lakefront Airport Cleveland, Ohio June 25-27, 1999

Circuit: 2.106-mile temporary road course
Race: 100 laps/210.6 miles

Post-Race Quotes:

Tony Kanaan, #44 McDonald's Honda-Reynard - Finished 22nd:

"It was my mistake. My guys did a very good job. They called me in but I couldn't come in on the lap I was supposed to and change tires. Michael (Andretti) and, I believe, Cristiano (da Matta) were in front of me. There was a lot of spray and I couldn't see to come in. I couldn't brake to come in because I wouldn't be able to control the car. There were other guys that couldn't do it as well, so that makes me feel a little better. We had a good start and we moved up to 10th. Unfortunately, I can't control the weather. To finish the race you need luck, and I don't think luck is on my side right now. It's time to turn the page and go to Elkhart."

Steve Horne, Team President:

"I think we had a reasonable car in the race. It's unfortunate. We were coming in that lap, didn't make it and had to go around in very difficult conditions."

Top-Five Finishers:

1. Juan Montoya 2. Gil de Ferran 3. Michael Andretti 4. Paul Tracy 5. Al Unser Jr.
