NAZARETH, PA. -- Paul Tracy and Dario Franchitti share a common goal heading into the Lehigh Valley Grand Prix on May 6: to give Team KOOL Green its first CART FedEx Championship Series victory at Nazareth Speedway.

PAUL TRACY, #26 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:

"I've probably run more miles at Nazareth than any other track on the CART schedule, and I've had a lot of good results there (two wins - '97, '94, two poles - '97, '96). It would be great to get Team KOOL Green's first win at Nazareth and at the same time win the last CART race there. We would score some big points and it would give us tremendous momentum heading into the race in Japan. We've got these three ovals in a row (Milwaukee follows Japan) and it's important to do well at each of them if you're going to contend for the championship."

DARIO FRANCHITTI, #27 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:

"Nazareth is a very unique oval that can be fun to drive, especially when the car is working well. But on race day, with 28 or so other cars out there, it's like rush hour on the L.A. Freeway at 180 mph! You've really got to anticipate traffic and stay on top of what's happening ahead of and behind you. There is absolutely no room to relax and concentration is critical. Paul and I would both like to give Team KOOL Green a win at Nazareth...one of our famous 1-2 finishes would be even better, with me out in front, of course!"

TKG NOTEBOOK

- Paul Tracy was recently featured in the MTV show Fast and Famous. It was filmed at Long Beach and included a visit with Tracy in his motorcoach, segments on Driven, an interview with Tracy's team manager, Eric Haverson, and chats with several other Champ Car drivers.

- Friends and family were happy to see Dario Franchitti when he traveled home to Scotland a couple of weeks ago. While there, Dario got a chance to watch his younger brother, Marino score a win in the British GT Championship race at Snetterton. Franchitti also took advantage of his European visit to stop by the Rockingham circuit, the site of September's CART race. Dario slid behind the wheel of a Honda road car and took a few laps around the track. First impression? Excellent.

- Reading, Pa., native Corey McLish, engine mechanic on Franchitti's #27 KOOL Honda-Reynard, became a father on April 26. McLish was called away from the Indianapolis airport en route to Texas and dashed to the hospital just in time for the birth of his first child. Mother, daughter, and father are all doing fine.
