Mexico City (Mexico) November 13. One by one, they come in to meet with an anxious press who want to know what happened between them. Happenings and declarations after Dominguez triumph in Australia have spread doubts about real friendship although press conference was called Los Tres Amigos, The Three Friends.

First to make his appearance was the winner in Australia, Herdez Competition driver Mario Dominguez. He took a golf club and ball, and began pose for a golf magazine photo, looking quiet and relaxed, knowing what he is going to say to press.

Five minutes after him, the other two amigos, Adrian (Fernandez) and Michel (Jourdain Jr.), one behind another, smiled for pictures and, at last, sat face to face at the podium.

The guy with the most experience, Adrian, spoke first about the circuit. "It's beautiful like I've never seen before and I think we're going looking like now for many years, it's a great move for Mexican motorsport", said the only driver-owner in CART.

Michel, plain and simple as always, said that this race is "a dream come true, being at home, at a track where I saw my father long time ago, makes me feel good, I'm waiting for Friday to get in the car".

Mario, the Surfer's Paradise's winner, analyzed the track and talked about passing zones. "We have four zones, at the end of main straight, after in curve four, at entrance of first "S" and last would be in straight at final "S", at the Forum".

The obligatory question was asked: "What is the situation between yourselves after the Adrian and Jourdain statements after Dominguez triumph?", Fernandez and Michel spoke out against CART about handling Australia's race and disapproval after Mario's success.

A brief silence followed, until Adrian responded to this question. "We cleared this situation and I think we don't want discuss it again". Michel seconded and Mario put it to earth. Not one of three amigos wants speak.

Motorsport.com asked Adrian whether Luis Diaz is ready for 2003. "Yes, but we want Luis to obtain more experience for 2004, so that he could be a more prepared driver for this series. If I'm not ready for Sunday, Diaz will be more ready than ever".

Mario was asked whether Herdez Competition would run a second car for next year. "This year we were looking for this possibility but we think is better for next season, although is not a fact yet".

Michel confirmed Rahal's desire to run him next season, but other offers are also on the table for the Mexican. "We're very happy with Rahal, they bring out excellent cars every race this year and the team works together. I expect to be with Rahal for 2003".

The three Mexicans stood up, posed for some pictures together, and left. But at this moment, a lot of Mexican hearts are anxious for a good result at home.
