"It was a very tight race and extremely difficult to overtake. We were running well in third when I almost got together with Vasser (Jimmy) on lap 95 which sent me up into the grey and cost me a position. Marlboro Team Penske was looking good for a top-five finish, but unfortunately I stalled in the pits on my second stop and dropped from fourth to ninth. I was able to make up two spots at the end and ultimately bring it home seventh."

"Kenny (Brack) braked a little early going through one and two. Apparently our tires touched and we both started to slide. I had it under control, but unfortunately another car (#6, da Matta) clipped my left front wheel and the suspension broke.

I feel really bad for my Marlboro Team Penske crew -- they gave me a great car which was fastest in practice but unfortunately we didn't have a chance to show it today."
