Herdez-backed drivers Michel Jourdain Jr. and Memo Gidley improved their times from Friday's performance during final qualifying for the 10th annual Molson Indy Vancouver race. Jourdain's best average speed was 103.260 Mph., giving him the 18th starting spot. Gidley's speed was 102.854 Mph., good for the 20th position.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #19 Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "The car was really loose and that affected my performance."

Memo Gidley, Car #71 Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "We had problems in the morning with the gearbox and because the team worked to fix it, we were late to qualify. With my second set of tires I did my best time, but the red flags waved at the wrong time for us. The car was much better, but it was understeering and lacked grip. So, I was sliding around a little bit."

Antonio Marron, Motorsports Director of the Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "Michel (Jourdain Jr.) and Memo (Gidley) improved very much their performance today, but the two red flags during our session affected very much our performance. I am sure we can do it better tomorrow."
