Tony Kanaan, ...
Tony Kanaan, #21 LCI Reynard-Honda:
"We didn't have the fastest car on the track but the car was competitive. I made a mistake at the braking point in Turn Three. Actually, it was very bad. I lost three positions and I caught up one when Bryan's (Herta) engine broke. We learned a lot and I am happy to finish in the top 10 again. It's more points so let's see what is going to happen in Portland."
DARE CLAIMS HIS FIRST CAREER WIN
Airton Dare, #1 Banestado/LCI Lola:
"First I have to thank my team. They did a great job. The car was perfect. I just drove the car. I was looking in my mirrors at the end of the race and Cristiano (da Matta) was closing the gap but I was able to control this. The car was good right out of the truck. We didn't need to change anything."
Cristiano da Matta, #2 Medley/LCI Lola:
"It was a hard race. The pace of the race was hard all the time. I had to push 100 percent the whole time. I had to try to escape from (Geoff) Boss and try to close to Airton (Dare). It was a difficult race but to finish second is very good for the championship. Sixteen points more -- it's perfect."
