Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports driver Michel Jourdain Jr. wrapped up his first session with his new car, during the two-day Spring Training at the 1.502-mile oval of Homestead, Florida.

Michel was very pleased with his new car even though he could not finish his last session because his engine lost power. Even so he improved about a second over his best time with a 197.235 Mph. lap.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #16 Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports: "We are very pleased with the new car. We have been improving the times and we feel very optimistic for this season. Of course, we still need more testing and we will go to Sebring towards the end of the month to do so. In March we will go to Phoenix for further testing."
