INDIANAPOLIS, IN, October 18, 1999 -- Smash Mouth, one of today's hottest bands, is joining the festivities at Runway Madness II, presented by FedEx. Band members Steve Harwell, Gregory Camp, Paul DeLisle and Kevin Coleman are friends of drivers Bryan Herta and Al Unser Jr. and huge fans of the CART series and will play a set during the show. Their music has been described by critics as "having the '90s electronic touch with '60s influences on the vocals and '80s new wave rhythms thrown into the mix." The band is also expected to contribute special items for the auction. Runway Madness II is a charity fundraiser including dinner, live and silent auctions of unique memorabilia, carnival games and entertainment by members of the CART racing community and celebrity guests.

It will be held on Friday, October 29, 1999 at the Lockheed Hangar at Ontario Airport in Ontario, California starting at 6 p.m. The theme on Halloween weekend is "A Mystical Hallows Eve" and guests are encouraged to come in costume.

CARA Charities and the Children's Fund of San Bernardino County are the recipients of the fundraiser. Individual tickets and tables are still available, although a sell-out crowd of 1,500 is expected and tickets will not be sold at the door.
