Sebastien Bourdais ...

Sebastien Bourdais #1 McDonald's Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"Well, I think it was a brilliant day for the McDonald's team. We just had the perfect setup. The car would take a few laps to really go up to speed. But once it was there, it was just unstoppable. It was a great feeling. I was able to, without taking stupid chances, really run fast towards the end of the race when the fuel didn't matter any more. You know, at the start, I was just really, really surprised that they threw the green flag when P.T. did what he did, really jumping it. Clearly he was ahead already as soon as we put full throttle. You know, he had been asked to be on my rear wing. That wasn't exactly what I was looking for. You know, I just had to give him the position. That was quite frustrating. I was really happy to see that race control decided to correct that. Once we got in the lead, we really didn't have anybody that seemed to be able to get to us. Obviously, it's a little bit of a shame for Clarke. He seemed to have a pretty good car. In the meantime, I'm pretty sure he wasn't saving fuel when all of us were. He could stay with me for quite some time after the first pit stop. But I was just kind of holding him just to make sure -- far enough to make sure he wasn't going to try anything, in the meantime saving as much fuel as I could, maintaining that pace. The deal changed a little bit as soon as he had the mechanical. I didn't have to push quite as much. I could save a lot more fuel. We never kind of could show where we were going to stop or anything because both stops were under yellow. Anyway, it was a great day for us. I really enjoyed driving the car. The car was rubbering in and getting very nice to drive. I think I hope the fans really liked it because it seemed like it was quite hectic behind me."

Cristiano da Matta #10 RuSPORT Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"It felt good, we have been working and working on the car and improving it every week and we are happy that we have been able to put together a good result today."

Justin Wilson #9 CDW Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"It obviously felt great to get on the podium after a day like we had yesterday. Things didn't work out. I gave the CDW crew lot of work to do. I am very pleased to try to repay some of their efforts. They did a fantastic job in the pits today to give us the opportunity to move up. "It was just trying to pick the right situation. There were people that were trying to make a move and didn't make it happen, and I managed to get past Nelson Philippe I think both times when he tried something on the car in front and it didn't work out. It was just trying to calculate when it's time to push, when it's time to save fuel and sit back and let the race come to you. Just really pleased that I was able to get the car on the podium for RuSPORT and CDW."

Nelson Philippe #4 CTE Racing-HVM Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"I'll take a fourth place finish although it's not what we had in mind--we wanted that podium, and we had the speed for it. Racing is unforgiving and sometimes you pay the price. We'll keep our heads up and head to Denver and hope for a good result."

Mario Dominguez #19 Sonny's Bar-B-Q Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"I was happy with my car today. We had a good race, it could have been better but it was good to be back in the top five. The only trouble I had was my car did not handle well on cold tires, but once they warmed up it was really good. The only thing I think we could have done better was our pit stops, if they had been a little better I really think we could have contended for a podium finish today. It was a crazy day out there and the most important thing was to hold your position on track and be clean. It seems that we have improved a lot since Edmonton and I hope to take the momentum we have gained and turn it into a better result in Denver."

Will Power #5 Aussie Vineyards Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"In the first couple of laps I hit (Oriol) Servia. I think maybe his people called yellow and I didn't get called for a yellow and braked in a normal spot. Then he came up on me really quick and I hit him. I couldn't go anywhere. It's unfortunate for him and me, but luckily we were able to get back to the race. After the hit, it felt like something was slightly bent, so it felt like the car bottomed pretty bad all through the race. At the end I was able to keep up with those guys and keep AJ behind me. I finished sixth which was a good result considering how the race started. I'm really happy to get points and finish as a top rookie again."

A.J. Allmendinger #7 INDECK Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"Well it's obviously not the result that we were expecting. At the start of the race I got my wing almost knocked off when Sebastien and I touched coming into Turn 1, the Forsythe Team did an amazing job like usual fixing it and got me back out on the lead lap and from there on we just had to fight our way back to the front. I got a few guys out on the track and my crew helped me get some more positions on the pits. I was all the way up third place before the second pit stop, we heard from race control that the pits were open and came straight in, afterwards they said that they weren't and penalized us and ruined our race, you know we'll file a complaint but there's not too much that can come out of it unfortunately."

Oriol Servia #6 Gulfstream Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"Today was a day the Gulfstream -- PKV Racing team should have been on the podium. We had the car, we had the starting position, but we were taken out on the first lap. That put us at the back of the pack, which made this an even more difficult race. We had to go with a different strategy to try and make up some positions. It worked out a little. We got the lead and opened up a gap, but it wasn't enough. Then the last yellow just helped everybody get to the end. It was a shame. No one is giving us anything for free. The Gulfstream -- PKV Racing team has to fight for everything we get, but we are doing it. As long as we keep working hard things are definitely going to come our way. We are getting very close. Everyone is acknowledging that we are more competitive. We just have to get ready for the next race"

Charles Zwolsman #34 Mi-Jack Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"It was quite exciting running up there in the top-three, it felt really good even though I knew that we were going to have to stop again. We were hoping that it was going to stay green until the end because the others had to pit as well but the yellows at the end helped them finish without having to stop again. We had the pace to run with the leaders but after our final pit stop I tried to pass Oriol (Servia) but he had so much push to pass left he could defend himself."

Nicky Pastorelli #8 Curacao/Rocketsports Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"It was a good day for us; this goes to show that the car and myself continue to improve. I would like to thank my engineer, Brian Ma, for giving me a good race car today. I was able to overtake and really race out there this afternoon; it was very exciting for me and a complete boost to my confidence. I think the Rocketsports team and I are coming along and we have a lot more to offer. I am so happy for the team, we had a very rough weekend in Edmonton and they did a lot of work for me. So I am happy that we were able to have a good result today in San Jose and finish in the top ten because they deserved it."

Katherine Legge #20 Bell Micro Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"It was a difficult race for the Bell Micro -- PKV Racing team. It was full of incidents and unfortunately we got hit at the start of the race, which damaged the car. The crew did a great job get things fixed, but unfortunately it was one of those races where there was a lot of carnage and we suffered a bit."

Andrew Ranger #27 MSR Houston Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"We had a good start we moved up to fourth and were running with the leaders but I had a hard time with the dealing with the traction and I ended up near the end of the field. We pitted early to change tires. Things were going well, we had moved up a few spots. During the race I tried to pass Katherine (Legge) who was more than one lap down but she blocked me three, four times. Then near the end she put me in the wall trying to pass me and she was running seven laps down. I don't understand what she was doing."

Alex Tagliani #15 Aussie Vineyards Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"This is a huge disappointment for our team and having the guys work hard like that again to rebuild the car. Unfortunately for us, we had an awesome car I never really went flat out. I saved a bunch of fuel, and the Aussie Vineyards car did a 50.8 early in the second stint. We were going to finish on two sets of red tires. Everything was working as planned. I really think we had the car to finish right in front of (Cristiano) da Matta which was second place, and Tracy hitting me took the podium away from us."

Paul Tracy #3 Indeck Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"It's an unfortunate situation, I was having brake problems, I kept locking up in the braking zones, I just couldn't get the car to stop. I went off into the runoff, got the car turned around and I thought I had enough room to leave before Tagliani got past me but obviously I didn't and as I was coming back on to the track we touched and that was it for both of us. I came back to the pits and he kept confronting me, he kept grabbing me and I told him to stop grabbing me, and he kept grabbing me and I kept telling him to stop, then he walked away and came back and grabbed me again and that was it, I had to push him off me."

Dan Clarke #14 CTE Racing-HVM Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone --
"We've had a great weekend, but we just didn't get the result at the end of it. The car has been awesome and I think we've shown that we can compete with the best of them. They say you can't pass here but I made some great passes today on Ranger, Tracy and da Matta; it's just disappointing not to have reached the checkered flag. The CTE-HVM crew gave me a really speedy pitstop, and I really thought we could be rewarded with a podium finish, but it wasn't our day today. It's no one's fault, we'll just regroup and be back out in Denver, just as determined to get the results the team deserves. I know the team has had good cars in Denver, we had a great car this weekend, so I just can't wait to get there!"

Bruno Junqueira #2 Newman/Haas Racing Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone/Lola --
"Will Power braked in the middle of the track and hit Oriol. I was very close so I couldn't avoid being collected. My car was good this morning in race trim and we set the fourth fastest time in the warm-up. It was good in the race and we had the potential to get a good result so its disappointing for myself and the team because we have worked hard to get some good results."
