Red Bull and Allmendinger Link Up for 2004 Champ Car Season
March 9, 2004 -- RuSPORT driver A.J. Allmendinger announces today that he will join the Red Bull family of athletes beginning with the 2004 Champ Car World Series. Red Bull is the manufacturer and distributor of the well-known energy drink.
As part of the new relationship, the distinctive Red Bull logo will adorn the helmet of the 2003 Toyota Atlantic Champion and Champ Car rookie. With this announcement, Allmendinger will join the diverse roster of Red Bull Athletes in North America, which includes AMA Superbike stars Eric and Ben Bostrom, U.S. Olympic alpine skier Daron Rahlves, and women's mountain bike champion Marla Streb to name a few.
"I'm really excited about joining the Red Bull family of athletes," said the 21-year- old Allmendinger. "You don't need to look hard to notice that I am in a pretty privileged group. They really are a family and I, along with the rest of RuSPORT, am looking forward to building that bond and representing them in the winner's circle very soon."
Allmendinger will debut the new Red Bull helmet when he and the RuSPORT team hit the streets of Long Beach, Calif. for the Champ Car World Series season- opener on April 18.
RuSPORT Announces BG Products as Associate Partner
Champ Car World Series team RuSPORT today announced a new associate partnership with BG Products. As a new partner BG Products will be the official lubricants provider for RuSPORT. This relationship will include not only lubricants for the racecar and transporters, but also a variety of other products from the BG line. In addition, BG Products will offer technical support in the areas of lubricants and friction reduction.
