COLD TEMPERATURES IN MILWAUKEE DELAY ROCKETSPORTS TESTING WITH PASTORELLI

WEST ALLIS, Wisconsin (April 25, 2006) - Although the rain and snow showers missed the Milwaukee area today, the Rocketsports Racing team was unable to run their scheduled one-day test with Nicky Pastorelli due to cold temperatures.

In order to efficiently run a Champ Car at the Milwaukee Mile, both the track and ambient (air) temperatures have to be at least 50 degrees. The main issue today was that the ambient temperature did not reach that marker on the thermometer, causing dangerous conditions on the track. The team opted to delay their test with Pastorelli, who will be running on an oval for the first time in his career, due to this reason.

The cold temperatures of Southern Wisconsin stopped all Champ Car rookies attending this practice session from making laps around the one-mile oval. Rocketsports has rescheduled their test session for tomorrow, as the weather is forecasted to be warmer with temperatures in the mid-60's and sunny skies.
