Rodolfo Lavin (R), #5 Corona Competition Team Ford-Cosworth XFE-Reynard-Bridgestone
"The track is awesome. I'm really enjoying driving the Corona Champ Car on this circuit with quick, high-speed turns, low-speed turns, and long straights with really high speed at the end. The last two laps in qualifying I had a shifting problem; third gear was jumping out. I was sacrificing a little bit under breaking to make sure third gear worked, but the Corona car is working really well overall. The car was pushing quite a bit in the first outing, but we made some changes and it was like driving a different car for the second run. I went more than a second quicker, so there was obviously a lot of improvement there. We're definitely moving in the right direction for final qualifying."

Darren Manning, (R), #15 RAC Walker Racing Ford-Cosworth XFE-Reynard-Bridgestone
"Road America is a fantastic track, just as everyone said, and it's even better now that we have the RAC Walker Racing car handling better. We worked really hard to improve the car from this morning. The track is nice and long like a lot of the Grand Prix tracks in Europe. It's nice to get your teeth into a few good corners and build a real rhythm for these long straights where you've got time to think about it. It suits my driving style and we've got the car working really well, so it's good."
