CART Season: 2
Best CART Start: 2 (Toronto, 2000)
Best CART Finish: 1 (Chicago, 2000)
Points Standings: 6

Top Toyota: Da Matta is currently the highest ranked Toyota in the CART FedEx Championship Series. Da Matta is ranked 6th in the series, just 5 points behind Adrian Fernandez, who is ranked fifth. Only 21 points separate 2nd through 5th position in the current championship standings.

Top Ten Starter: Da Matta has been a consistent top ten qualifier on the road courses this year. Da Matta has qualified in the top ten in the last five road course events, including his best-ever qualifying effort of second in Toronto. Da Matta currently has 82 championship points, 66 more than he had at this time last year.

Last Year at Road America: Da Matta qualified eleventh and finished 21st after suffering transmission problems at Road America in 1999.

Cristiano on Road America:

"Road America is my favorite track on the CART circuit and probably my favorite track I have competed on. We tested here right after Chicago, and we were all very tired. I didn't have a great test, but we were able to learn a few things that we will use this weekend. The race last weekend was very, very disappointing. I had a bad restart and it put me in a bad position. If my restart was better, I probably would not have been in the position I was in with Tracy, Tagliani and Vasser, I would have been further ahead of them, and I could have finished the race pretty decently. But, that is racing, we will have a better race this weekend."

ORIOL SERVIÀ, #96 TELEFÓNICA/TOYOTA-REYNARD
CART Season: 1
Best CART Start: 7 (Portland, 2000)
Best CART Finish: 3 (Detroit, 2000)
Points Standing: 16

In the Spotlight: Look for Servià's Toyota Motorsports commercial, which recently aired for the first time. Each Toyota driver is featured in a commercial that airs throughout the season.

Road Course Success: Servià has run in the top ten in six of seven road course races this season, including his third place finish in Detroit, which was not only his first Champ Car podium, but PPIM's as well. Servià has scored 41 points to date this season, 32 of which were on road courses.

Toyota's Best Finisher: Servià was the top finishing Toyota last weekend, scoring a tenth place finish at his Mid-Ohio debut. Servià scored three additional points toward the FedEx Championship, and is currently ranked third in the Rookie of the Year point's chase.

Servià on Road America:

"I am looking forward to racing here at Road America. I tested here last month, but that was my first time here. We had a good test, we were not the fastest cars on the track, but we were able to try many new things. This track reminds me a lot of the tracks in Europe, and it will be a lot of fun to drive here. I think fuel mileage is going to be a very big focus of the race. That is something we have been concentrating on. Last weekend, I was pleased of course to finish in the top ten, but we are still not where we need to be. I think some of that is because some of these tracks are new to me, and Mid-Ohio and Elkhart are very demanding tracks and perhaps take a bit longer to learn. I will continue to try my hardest and collect as many points as possible."
