Road America Debut: It is Philippe's third season of Champ Car competition, but the Frenchmen will make his debut at the historic road circuit this weekend. Philippe completed a successful two-day test with CTE HVM at Road America last month, but has never competed there professionally.
Championship Battle: Philippe's battle for fourth in the series championship battle continues. He leads Champ Car veteran and former champion Paul Tracy by two points for fourth.
Front Runner: Philippe's third place podium finish in Montreal marked the second podium of his career. It was also his first time earning three consecutive top-five finishes. 2006 has been a breakout season for Philippe. As he battles for podiums week in and week out, Philippe has earned five top-five finishes and finished outside of the top-ten only twice.
Bradford White: CTE Racing HVM welcomes the return of Bradford White. Nelson Philippe and his team-mate Dan Clarke will carry the Bradford White logo this weekend on his #4 CTE Racing HVM/Lola
Nelson Philippe: "I have been looking forward to racing at Road America since I started racing here in the US and I can't wait to get a strong result there this weekend. After the successful test here in August and the great team effort in the last couple of races, I know the whole team is pumped up and I really want to leave with another podium result. The points battle is still very close so I will approach this weekend with more caution but always chasing that top spot. The key for this weekend will be to qualify up front, as we have shown that our race pace is there and we can compete with the top guys. Road America is one of the most mythical racetracks in the world and I feel very proud to race there."
