2004 Statistics: Half way through the 2004 Champ Car season, Hunter-Reay sits sixth in the Championship, just five points out of the top-five in only his second year of Champ Car competition. His average starting and finishing position this season is seventh and he leads the series in laps led.
Ride with Ryan for Charity: Ryan is participating in the Tour de Road America Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Fans will have a chance to lap the beautiful four-mile road course on a bicycle at Road America with Hunter-Reay and several of his fellow Champ Car competitors; including his teammate Mario Dominguez, while contributing to the Lance Armstrong foundation which benefits cancer research.
Ryan on Road America: Road America is a phenomenal track and from a driving standpoint, it is my favorite of the year and I would bet that 99% of the drivers in the series would agree. We had a very good test there earlier this year before Milwaukee and I am definitely excited to race there in my Lola. The track is challenging and fast, when you have a good car, it is a blast. The Herdez Competition team has consistently run well there, so I am confident we will have a good weekend. I am sitting sixth in the championship, but not far out of fourth. We really need a top five finish here to solidify a top-five position in the points."
