INDIANAPOLIS (February 20, 2003) - The fans of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford are taking full advantage of the chance to meet some of the major forces behind the Champ Car World Series, responding to the point where organizers of the Town Meeting in Portland next week have had to move to a larger venue.

Overwhelming response to the February 26 meeting in the Oregon capital forced a change Thursday, causing the first Town Meeting of 2003 to be moved from the Doubletree Columbia River down one block to the Grand Ballroom of the Doubletree Hotel at Jantzen Beach, 909 N. Hayden Island Drive.

The Portland Town Meeting will be the first of the year and follows on the heels a successful debut last year, when over 1,500 fans attended the program in Columbus, Ohio to ask questions of the some of the principal members of the series.

Fans can still visit www.champcarworldseries.com to register for their free tickets to Wednesday's panel discussion, which will feature Champ Car President and CEO Christopher R. Pook, 1996 CART Champion Jimmy Vasser and SPEED Channel race analyst Scott Pruett. Doors open for the event as 6:30 p.m.
