Bremer OK After Qualifying Accident

Ronnie Bremer made contact with the turn seven wall at the end of the qualifying session. After observation at the Champ Car Medical Center, he was transferred by ground ambulance to the Emmanuelle Hospital where precautionary x-rays were taken. The x-rays were clear and Bremer is sore but fine.

BJORN WIRDHEIM, #4 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

Bjorn on Qualifying:"It started off pretty well because I think in the qualifying yesterday I was still learning the circuit. It this morning's session we were running pretty good lap times and I was running in the top six throughout the session. Therefore I was looking forward to the final qualifying especially since I saved my soft compound Alternate tires. The weather changed quiet a lot form yesterday, it was quite a bit warmer today which meant we didn't get quite as much out of the option tires as we thought and I wasn't able to improve my lap times from yesterday. Overall it was an improvement because we close the gap to the drivers in front but we were not able to improve our starting position.

RONNIE BREMER, #55 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

*Driver lost best lap for causing a red flag.

Ronnie on Qualifying:"I was heading into turn seven and I didn't come out. On the way in I think I touched the grass and lost the rear end while downshifting and went straight into the wall. I understand I hit it at 60 G's. I am sorry for my team, they have a lot of extra work to do tonight, but I will make up for it with a great result tomorrow."
