JOURDAIN JR. SETS HIS SECOND BEST QUALIFYING PERFORMANCE

Herdez backed driver Michel Jourdain Jr. set his second best qualifying position in the FedEx Championship Series with a 6th place and a lap time of 1'01.913 at 114.490 Mph. His best was 5th in Fontana in 1997.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #19 Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "Under rainy conditions the car was not good, but under the drier conditions was not bad. We didn't test in road courses, but Mid-Ohio, so we have to work harder to try to get a good set up. Now, the car mainly developed push. I hope tomorrow it will be better. It was nice to be at least for a few seconds in the top of the times."

Antonio Marron, Motorsports Director of the Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "The team is working hard to try to give Michel a good car to qualify in a better position."
