"The balance of my car is good, but we just need to find a way to increase our speed," said Gugelmin. "We spent most of the afternoon session running simulated race stints but we do need to improve our handling and speed running in groups. The car just doesn't feel planted like it should, and we've got a bit of a loose car as well. We will be 100 percent better than we were in Michigan."

"My car is alright," said Dixon. "Here, or on any superspeedway, it's all about who gets the biggest tow. We ran a lot of laps by our self to see how the car handles alone, but we also tried to get some runs in traffic. I think we're going to be okay, but today it was more important to learn about the car rather than try to put in the fastest laps."
