Qualifying: 18th 81.718 (119.342 mph)
"We continued to make improvements on the car under braking, but it's still locking too much in the rear. We're also having a problem with the engine control system that maintains the boost level. We worked with Cosworth to address the problem over night and it seemed to be fixed in this morning's practice. The Corona Walker Racing crew is replacing the engine, wiring, everything this evening to see if can get this working better for the race."

Darren Manning, (R), #15 RAC Walker Racing Ford-Cosworth XFE-Reynard-Bridgestone
Qualifying: 9th 80.308 (121.437 mph)
"I'm disappointed with ninth really. We haven't been outside the top-six this weekend, so I had expected more for qualifying. We tried a couple new things that didn't work well for us. Even though I was faster, the car was slightly worse. It's going to be a bit of a race of attrition I think because of the curbs and the brakes really take a beating here. We'll go back to what we know works for the car and work to be there for the finish. We should be all right for the top-six again."
