Montreal, Canada Sunday, August 24, 2003 - In his 73rd career start, Rocketsports driver Alex Tagliani finished fourth in the Molson Indy Montreal. Tagliani was first on the starting grid, his second pole of the season, and claimed a bonus point for the most laps led after taking charge of the first 52 in the 75 lap race. The No. 33 Johnson Controls Lola was the fastest car on the track during qualifying with a time of 1:19.665 (122.418 mph, 197.012 km/h) and remained strong today taking Tagliani to his ninth top-ten finish of the season. Tagliani now sits in seventh position in the Champ Car World Series standings with 87 points.

"We had the car to win and Montreal was the best place for it to happen," stated Tagliani. "The team was awesome. My engineers were super and this was the best car of my Champ Car career. It was perfect. It was the fastest car out there, but unfortunately, the yellows in our third stint destroyed our strategy and day," explained Tagliani.

"We went with a strategy to save fuel in the beginning and Servia was not catching me, so I went for it. We changed the strategy and just raced. In the end, with the yellow, it didn't work and we didn't get the results we wanted. We learned a lot and are convinced now more than ever that a win for Rocketsports is going to happen soon," said Tagliani.
