Tagliani fifth quickest in day one of qualifying for the Molson Indy Montreal.

Montreal, Canada August 22, 2003 - Rocketsports' driver Alex Tagliani was pleased with the feel and speed of the No. 33 Johnson Controls Lola this afternoon after qualifying fifth in the first session for the Molson Indy Montreal. With a time of 1:21.542 (119.600 mph, 192.477 km/h) Tagliani reported that the Lola "felt fine and handled the course well. We need to work on our strategy with tires and tire pressure to conserve the rubber, but still get them to temperature in good time," added Tagliani. "We were fastest in pre-qualifying and need to duplicate what we did for qualifying tomorrow. The engineers have done a great job preparing the car and the Rocketsports team is excited. We will work on our strategy and be ready for tomorrow."
