Paul Tracy

"Not a good day -- I never put a good lap together. We'll do better tomorrow".

Rodolfo Lavin

"We just couldn't get a lap this afternoon. In the ten minute practice I was comfortable and ready; but I brushed the wall on my fourth lap and damaged the rear suspension. The guys did a great job to get it fixed so fast, but I only had time for one lap. Tomorrow will be a better day".

Patrick Carpentier
Note: Patrick did not qualify, having suffered irreparable mechanical problems during Friday's first qualifying session.

"It's a sad thing to have the same as last year here in Montreal ... not ability to qualify at all on the first day ... but we did finish on the podium in 2003; so I'll be looking to do the same this year again I guess! At least I've got some good spare tires".

About Patrick Carpentier's qualifying, Neil said "Never in my racing career have I seen exactly the same problems befall the same driver at the same track on the same day in two successive years!"
