"It wasn't a good session. This morning we had a few problems and lost some time. This afternoon the car just didn't feel right. It felt very nervous and I had a lot of push, a lot of loose. There was no balance. Basically we are going to put the car identical to Shinji's this evening."

"My car was pretty good during the session. I had some traffic but it was the same for everybody. My fastest lap wasn't the perfect lap. I gained the time only at the last corner. On my second set of tires I didn't have any good, clean laps and that was a shame. My fastest lap was when Michael [Andretti] went off the track and I had to back off. I think I could have been two-tenths faster. The team did a good job. This morning I had a mechanical problem with the car, and the team did a good job in a short time. We just have to find out where we are losing time compared to the faster guys and, hopefully, qualify in the top three or top five tomorrow. We have been struggling in qualifying this year and I want to change that this weekend."

Tom Anderson, Co-Owner/Managing Director:
"A very exciting day for the city of Montreal, and for Fernandez Racing as well. Shinji obviously has been here before in Formula One and knew he was going to be happy here. I think his run today was proof. He and [engineer] Martin [Paré] were able to get a good setup going, and we will transfer that to Adrian's car tonight. I am looking forward to tomorrow, and you just can't say enough about beautiful Montreal."
