Monterrey 2002: Vasser returns to Fundidora Park after an abbreviated event last year.

He started the 2002 event, the first race of the season from tenth place, but was taken out just after the green flag fell, ending his day before his first race lap of 2002 hit the record books.

In the Points: Vasser brought home a very respectable sixth place finish for American Spirit Team Johansson at the team's inaugural event in St. Petersburg. Vasser was forced to start

from the back of the field after stalling on the pace laps. He made up ten positions in ten laps and charged to the top-five by lap 55. Vasser is currently ranked sixth in the championship. Re-Vamped: The evolution of will debut this weekend.

Make Your Pick: Don't forget to visit and pick the podium.

If you pick the top three finishers in Sunday's grand prix in correct order, you will win a Stefan Johansson MarkII wristwatch.

Vasser on Monterrey: "I am looking forward to picking up where we left off in St. Pete and improving upon the decent finish we had there. As a new team we are continuously building and continuously getting better. The group was strong at St. Pete and that is something you will see all year. We are here to fight for the win, every weekend; that is what it is all about. This is a great place, Fundidora Park is an awesome track, it is wide and flat, a lot of fun. The fans around here have so much energy; it makes us proud to entertain them."
