Tecate Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix at Fundidora Park, Monterrey, Mexico
May 21-23, 2004 - Round 2 of 16

Race Distance: 243.796 kilometers/151.488 miles (72 laps on the 2.104-mile permanent road course).

Potenza Race Tires Supplied: Bridgestone delivered 700 dry-condition and 320 wet-condition Potenza race tires for use this weekend. All were produced at the Bridgestone Technical Center in Akron, Ohio. For this event, Bridgestone has brought a single dry-tire specification and a single wet-tire specification, allowing every driver equal footing on the racetrack.

* Dry-condition tires ("slicks"): Each car receives eight sets of slicks (32 tires) for the weekend, to use in the practice, qualifying and race sessions. Bridgestone Motorsport engineers have chosen their most popular road-course tire specification for this weekend. It contains the compound formula with the most grip 0x2022 the "softest" tire currently in the Bridgestone road course inventory. The same tire was run at Monterrey in 2002.

* Wet-condition tires ("rains"): Each car receives up to four new sets of grooved-tread Potenza rain tires per weekend on road and street courses, as needed. In addition, each car may use two sets of same-spec rain tires issued at a previous event. Bridgestone has two rain-tire specifications at its disposal, one for the faster permanent road circuits and another for the slower, tighter street courses. The street-course rain tire is available this weekend.
