Sebastien Bourdais #1 McDonalds Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (1st, 117 points)
"It looked like we had a great car again. The McDonald's and Medi | Zone cars were probably the best two cars at the test. On our side we had a very productive test session. The track is beautiful. It's a natural race track with big elevation changes. It's blindingly fast but the only downside is that there is a possibility of big wrecks. It's a shame but it should be a great show for the fans for sure. Even though it's not in Montreal, and a drive from there, I think the fans should come because the show is going to be awesome, probably even better than it was in Montreal. Mont Tremblant is a much nicer track to drive but it's a little farther for the fans that live in Montreal. It's going to take a little bit of effort from the fans to come out but in the meantime it's not a bad place to spend a weekend. Hopefully the fans will come out. It is a little like home. The French Canadians have different expressions and different accents but the language is still French. It's nice to get there; it feels a little like home. The little town feels very much like a ski resort and I like those sorts of places since I'm a big fanatic about skiing."
Robert Doornbos #14 Minardi Team USACosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (2nd, 114 points)
"I am looking forward to Mont-Tremblant a lot, because it's very similar to my favorite track, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, in Europe, also it's like being in the Ardennes, in the mountains. It's great with the difference in height. We did one day of testing there in May and the car was quite quick. We were fastest on the first day. It's nice to come from the city (Montreal) where I have been the past few days to go to the nice, green countryside around Mont-Tremblant. It's a lovely environment to have a race. We had another good result last weekend, and the team is highly motivated. I'm looking forward to the race for sure."
Will Power #5 Aussie Vineyards Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (3rd, 105 points)
"I was pleasantly surprised at how nice of a track Mont Tremblant was when we were there just a couple of weeks ago. It's a circuit that is very similar to Spa and Road America, very smooth, nice undulations, a circuit that I think the Aussie Vineyards cars will be strong on. Having tested there will help us a lot for this weekend and we will go into it with the same game plan, to get on pole and win and hopefully this weekend we can do it at Mont Tremblant."
Alex Tagliani #8 Tide@Wal-Mart Victory Lap Charity Program Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (4th, 97 points)
"I am very excited to be racing in Quebec. The Circuit Mont-Tremblant is a track that is nice to drive on and it has a lot of tradition. It is a unique track with many features that are interesting for the driver, and the scenery is just magnificent for the fans. It is great that Champ Car has the opportunity to showcase such a wonderful product on a track like this. It is just amazing; everyone will really be able to appreciate the power, speed and performance of a Champ Car. We are really lucky to have three races in Canada this year, because they are going to be very important for the Victory Lap Circle Charity Program and our sponsors Wal-Mart, Tide, and all of the partners involved in the program. We will begin this Canadian streak with the goal of getting into the top three in the Champ Car championship. It is our objective to get on the podium, but we are also looking at the big picture, which is obtaining as many points as we possibly can to win the championship."
Justin Wilson #9 CDW Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (5th, 92 points)
"We were quick in the #9 CDW car during our test at Mont-Tremblant, so hopefully the race weekend goes just as well, if not better. We hope that we can qualify in the front and have a good race. I think that the Circuit Mont-Tremblant is a great track. It is quick and very challenging, which is something that I really like. I think that it should be a great event and I am looking forward to it."
Oriol Servia #7 INDECK Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (6th, 78 points)
"I've always enjoyed racing in Montreal, the fans in Quebec are always great supporters and they are very knowledgeable. Now that we are going to Mont Tremblant I think they will be blown away by the Champ Cars, I've never driven there but I've heard it's a really fast track. The team tested there so we should have a pretty decent car, and coming off Paul's win in Cleveland has just given the Team a boost of energy that will help us try to repeat this weekend."
Graham Rahal #2 Medi | Zone Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (7th, 74 points)
"I think the Medi | Zone team will be very competitive in Mont Tremblant. I think we have begun to find a setup that I truly love driving, and it should be applicable to the upcoming events. I believe with all the momentum this team has going forward, we should be among the front runners this next weekend. The test was very helpful for us, especially at learning the circuit. It is a very difficult place to learn, and getting to understand all of the elevation changes was quit interesting. I think on the setup front we have learned a lot recently, post MT test, that will help us there, but to return with the baseline we found in testing should also be advantageous to us. The track is awesome; it's very fast and the drivers have to be extremely brave. I think it will host a great event and hopefully we'll get a lot of fans at the event. The area is beautiful. I'm a skier so I love going to places like Mont Tremblant. It's a beautiful are with a lot of beautiful scenery. The track is in the perfect location. Hopefully, if all the wildlife stays away it will be exciting and in a pretty setting."
Simon Pagenaud #15 Aussie Vineyards Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (8th, 74 points)
"I'm very excited for this weekend and to go back to Mont Tremblant. I loved it when we tested there it's a beautiful country, beautiful landscape, very peaceful and I can't wait to visit the French side of Canada, to speak French and feel the French atmosphere, what a great place for a race. On top of that, Mont Tremblant is a very interesting track and one that I quite enjoyed. We have a good setup on the Aussie Vineyards car and I expect to have a good weekend and to be on the pace right away."
Neel Jani #21 Red Bull-Gulfstream Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (9th, 69 points)
"I am looking forward to the race in Mont-Tremblant. The Red Bull Gulfstream PKV Racing team earned its first podium of the season last week in Cleveland, so, of course, I want to get back to racing as soon as possible and try to build on that result. We have competed for podium finishes a couple of times this year and for one reason or another we did not make it. To get our first podium just shows that the hard work we have been putting in is paying off. Unfortunately for me I was not able to test in Mont-Tremblant, so this will be my first time on the circuit. PKV Racing had a good test there with Tristan and we learned quite a bit, so I think we will have a good baseline setup"
Paul Tracy #3 INDECK Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (10th, 68 points)
"I can't wait to get to Canada. There's no better way to head into your three home races than with a win. It has been a really tough year for us, but all that just made this victory taste even better. We've finally managed to pick up some momentum and now we just have to carry it through the next few races and try to keep getting those wins, we still have a lot of work to do but we are getting closer and the cars are getting better every time. The Circuit Mont Tremblant is a spectacular track, I really think it's one of the best circuits in North America, and it really suits this new DP01 Chassis. We are going to put on quite a show there."
Bruno Junqueira #19 Sonny's Bar-B-Q Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (11th, 66 points)
"I'm looking forward to racing at this track. I have heard good things about it and can't wait to get out on the track Friday morning for practice. It should be a good race for not only the drivers but the fans too. I definitely think that the #19 Sonny's Bar-B-Q team is capable of winning a race soon. Last week was especially tough. We moved up six spots in the first seven laps and were running really strong. Then Paul Tracy hit the back of my car, which wrecked the suspension, ending our day early. We just have to keep on top of our game and continue to improve each race. These next three events, Mont-Tremblant, Toronto, and Edmonton should be good races for us, so I am ready for the challenge and hoping for some good results."
Tristan Gommendy #22 Pay by Touch-Megaspirea Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (12th, 64 points)
"The Pay By Touch MegaSpirea team had a difficult race in Cleveland, so I am looking forward to a better result in Mont-Tremblant. The team had a very good test in Mont-Tremblant at the end of May. We did a lot of development work and collected a lot of data. By the end of the test I was the third fastest, so I thing we can have a very good race this weekend."
Ryan Dalziel #28 PCM Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (13th, 58 points)
"Looking forward to going back to Mt Tremblant. We tested their and this will be the first time we return to a track where we had a productive test. Hopefully we learned some set-up info from Cleveland that will apply and we'll be looking for another top-ten. I am looking forward to trying a new venue; I expect it to be a pretty big event. The town seems like a great vacation town and I think the Champ Car race will be a great addition."
"Speedy" Dan Clarke #4 Minardi Team USA Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (14th, 48 points)
"I'm trying to carry the momentum that we gained in the last two races. Again, I'm sorry for the mistake in Cleveland, but we know we have the speed, especially at Mont-Tremblant. Both Robert and I were quick there at the test, and I know we have improved since then. It's nice to be able to spend a few days seeing the sights on our way to the track, and I'm taking the time to prepare myself for another competitive race weekend."
Katherine Legge #11 Dale Coyne Racing Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (15th, 45 points)
"I hope to be very competitive in Mont-Tremblant after a not-so-good run last weekend. We have had some tough breaks the last few races that ended our days early. It's been more than a little disappointing, but I hope we can fight for a top 10 finish this weekend. We need to gain some positive momentum from here on out."
Alex Figge #29 Molecule Labs Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (17th, 30 points)
"We made progress in Cleveland and had our best qualifying result of the season. We should be able to start Mt. Tremblant off on a stronger foot after testing there and also taking what we've learned the past week at Road America and Cleveland. The circuit is beautiful and very, very fast. Growing up near the mountains and ski resorts in Colorado, I feel right at home in Mt. Tremblant. I am excited."
Jan Heylen #34 Champ Car Grand Prix of Belgium Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone (19th, 13 points)
"I know we have a lot of work to do before we get on track at the Circuit Mont Tremblant," said Heylen. "The team was not able to test here with the rest of the Champ Car teams last month so there is going to be a lot of learning during that first practice. As a driver I'm really impressed with the track, it looks like this will be a fast and challenging race. Despite all our work ahead of us, I'm looking forward to this unique road course and for a better result for the Conquest Team."
