* RuSPORT heads to the only oval race on the Champ Car schedule this weekend with the event's defending champion, Michel Jourdain Jr. Last year Michel qualified second on the grid and went on to capture his first Champ Car victory at the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series' first night race and the Milwaukee Mile's 100th anniversary. After a solid test with RuSPORT last month, Jourdain is looking for continued success with the track that will always be at the top of his favorites list.

* On his way to last season's win, Jourdain Jr. led 234 laps of the Milwaukee race, setting a Champ Car record for most laps led in a single event.

* Young American A.J. Allmendinger will make his Champ Car oval race debut here at the Mile this weekend. Milwaukee was also the site of his oval-racing debut in 2003 with the RUSPORT team while campaigning the Toyota Atlantic championship. Last year, Allmendinger qualified a respectable third and held on to that spot to bring home a podium finish in his first oval event. The 3rd place finish helped the rookie capture the Toyota Atlantic title.
