Pacificare Driver Junqueira was Fifth Fastest in Practice for Time Warner Cable Road Runner 250 At The Milwaukee Mile; Mcdonald's® Driver Bourdais Seventh
Bruno Junqueira, No. 6 PacifiCare Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "The car was good when we ran our fastest lap of the night practice but we made some changes after that and it was not as good so we will start practice tomorrow with the initial setup. We still have some work to do to prepare the PacifiCare car for the race but we made some progress today."
* FAST FACTS: Will be his fourth race here. Qualifying was rained out in 2003 and the drivers started the race based on practice times. Junqueira started eighth but crashed on the first racing lap. Started fifth in 2002, led four laps and finished 10th in 2002. Started 12th in his rookie race here in 2001 and finished fourth.
Sebastien Bourdais, No. 2 McDonald's Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "We tried to make the car as fast as possible but we got traffic on both sets of new tires. I'm not sure we can get close to the time Ryan set. I don't think the balance is neutral enough. We still need to work on our qualifying setup but we will pretty much have to guess because we are going to try to save our tires for the race. The current setup is somewhere between a race setup and a qualifying setup but it is not ideal for either."
* FAST FACTS: Will be his second race here. Qualifying was rained out in 2003 and the drivers started the race based on practice times. Bourdais started 13th and was forced to pit prior to the start of the race due to an overheating engine. He finished ninthâ^À¦Leads the point standings for the first time in his Champ Car career with 62 points over Bruno Junqueira, 57, and Paul Tracy, 49.
