WIRDHEIM IS THE FASTEST ROOKIE AT THE MILE

BJORN WIRDHEIM, #4 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

Bjorn on Qualifying: "To be the fastest Rookie and to be steadily improving all day is a positive, but I am not satisfied with my result. We knew we had more in the car after the practice this morning, but I kept running into traffic on my fast laps. This afternoon was ok, the car feels good and I am learning so much every time I am on the track since I have never race on an oval before. I am enjoying it quite a lot, it certainly is different. We are confident in our race set-up and it will be a long race, so as long as I stay clean and we have good stops tomorrow we have a very good shot at a top-five finish for sure. I am looking forward to the race."

RONNIE BREMER, #55 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

Ronnie on Qualifying:"Unfortunately our day started wrong and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. There seems to be something a little off with the car and then I brushed the wall this morning and I think maybe I lost some confidence. I am sure we are going to have a very good car tomorrow; I will sleep on it tonight and prepare myself mentally for a long smart race. I look forward to warm-up, we should have a good session and that will help me get my confidence back for the race. To qualify this poorly is not typical for me or the HVM team. We have qualified in the top-ten in every race so far and I expected to do well here. I plan to get a strong start, gain a few positions in the beginning and then just work my way up with smart consistent driving and perfect pitstops, it is going to be good fun."
